Amazing Photos

What a week in pictures.

Tuesday, July 17th was the two-year anniversary of the first Instagram photo ever taken. What began as a low quality photo evolved into an incredibly popular smart phone app. 

Wednesday, July 18th marked the twenty-year anniversary of the first photo ever posted on the Internet, which was a homemade promotional photo of Les Horrible Cernettes.

Friday, July 20th, a piece in the Atlantic demonstrated the meaning of the old adage "a picture is worth a 1,000 words." Alexis Madrigal accurately points out how "Words can't describe the trip the astronauts -- and the nation -- took that day."
Thankfully we have photos.
