Yesterday CEO Bob Lisbonne was quoted in the Wall Street Journal on a piece writen about in-image advertising.
"In both cases, the interactivity increases the time readers spend looking at an image as much as nine seconds per picture. We think that is a huge new chapter in the role of images, and point to a day when consumers won't be content to merely look at a picture, they will expect to be able to interact with it."
The article outlines a few companies in the market and mentions that given the newness of in-image ads, there is a lot of opportunity for growth and new players. While Luminate is about more than just ads in images, we were excited to be part of this piece and look forward to what the future holds.
